Rare and lovely, each of the twenty-two gently graduated panels on this necklace has Japanoise scenes of birds, flowers, trees, mountains, dragons and pagodas, all depicted in exquisitely minute detail in gold metal against a black enamelled background. Measures 44cm/17 inches including hidden clasp. Marked 'Japan'. In very good vintage condition.
