An especially lovely and twinkly vintage Art Deco Diamond engagement ring dating to around the 1940's/50's and of US origin. A gorgeously compact design characteristically contrasting curves and angles; the delight of geometry! The beautifully sparkly gems centre around a central antique hand cut of great quirky originality dating to around 1900 in cutting style; so recycled in the making of this unique ring. The Diamonds framing this are fourteen old eight-cuts and two baguette cuts ling the shoulders; quite splendid and all set by hand with great care and attention. She is both ethically sound as a purchase and entirely original.
The metal is 900 parts Platinum and 100 parts Iridium (distinctive of US jewellery and marked inside the band) which is added to further increase the hardness of the Platinum. The central Diamond has been weighed at 0.28ct and there are around 0.20ct in smaller stones.
The ring size is a 'P and a half' or '7.75' as is but could be altered to suit.
