Victorian Vauxhall Glass Starburst Earrings

Dating to the 1890's when the fashion for lighter, sparkly black jewellery was at it's height, these super starburst shaped Victorian Jet earrings make a real statement. Made of layers of faceted glass backed on an enamelled base metal and with silver earwires. 

The stars measure just over an inch across and hang nicely on the ear and they are in lovely condition, with just one tiny chip to one of the lower sections which can be seen in the second photograph on the right earring at 'four o'clock'.
