In the fine and naturalistic Arts & Crafts style, an antique hand crafted Silver filigree brooch highlighted with pressed Gold flowers framing a gently lustred grey/cream Mabe Pearl. Mabe Pearls are grown on the inside of the mussel shell and pieces such as this are early examples of the technique. An ethereal little jewel showing the Arts and Crafts ideal which valued art for arts sake and creative expression of itself.
Measures 2cm across and closes with a traditional 'C' clasp.
