The sentimental tradition of keeping and mounting a baby's lost milk teeth as jewellery dates to the Victorian era when this novelty idea became quite widespread. A child losing it's first milk tooth meant that they had survived the precarious first few years of life.
Our Helen's Grandfather kept her teeth (a little gruesome for some!) in this very box and she has kept them over the years until this point when she found these small 15ct Gold hand engraved Victorian caps into which to mount one. Pip is going to keep one for her little Daughter's first tooth and so we have two to pass on....
If you fancy this idea, please note they'll need to be the slightly bigger teeth as they measure 5mm diameter, and we can mount them for you.. we'll add a jump ring.

Most of our rings can be adjusted to fit for free, this can be done on purchase by making a note in the order form if you know the size, or at a later date if it is a gift.
