Dating to the mid 19th century and an example of Egyptomania, a pair of Egyptian Scarab earrings; the beetle a powerful talisman believed to protect the wearer and in ancient cultures represent rebirth and renewal. In ancient Egypt jewelry was worn both the living and in the afterlife for adornment, power, and as amulets.
Hand formed settings with a twisted design framed to show the details of the sacred beetle and a beaded design to the wires which articulate just below. The wires are of a high carat gold gilded base metal.
They measure 3cm from the top of the wires.
Most of our rings can be adjusted to fit for free, this can be done on purchase by making a note in the order form if you know the size, or at a later date if it is a gift.
