A creation from the Aesthetic Revival period in the 1880's, this charming Silver locket is prettily scalloped to the edges, the central oval panel decorated with an applied floral design (all cut out by hand) and the whole sweetened further with hand engraving. The locket opens to hold two precious photographs and shows a section of coiled hairwork from its original owner. Fully hallmarked at the Birmingham Assay Office in 1886.
There are a few small dinks to the back (only natural given the age) it measures just over two inches including the bale and we have hung it from a 20 inch Silver snake chain.
Most of our rings can be adjusted to fit for free, this can be done on purchase by making a note in the order form if you know the size, or at a later date if it is a gift.
