Truly enchanting, this antique early 19th century curio speaks of an elegance of dress so considered, and an elevated culture so polite. Worn originally to secure a gentleman's cravat, the stick pin was the forerunner of the tie pin and they were designed in all manner of curious and amusing designs to add a touch of individuality and style. We believe this fancy piece to be possibly French, as it is all in high carat yellow gold and so finely made. Set with a wild natural sea Pearl and a rich Ruby the patina of the metal is so lovely with it's warm tints.
Measures 2 inches in length.
