A lovely vintage Mabe Pearl ring dating to the 1930's/40's and which would have expressed the most luxurious vibe in her day. The captivating natural creamy lustre is just wonderful!
Mabe pearls are half-pearls that can be cultivated at the interior of a mollusc's shell. A small nucleus of Mother of Pearl is attached to the inner shell of the mollusc and left to build up nacre over approximately 3 year.s In the early days of Cultured Pearls these beauties were crafted to feed the desire for the glamour of Pearls.
Mounted in 9ct White Gold, itself a fashion statement at the time, all is a charming vision. The ring size is an 'L' or '5.75' and we cannot alter the size.
Most of our rings can be adjusted to fit for free, this can be done on purchase by making a note in the order form if you know the size, or at a later date if it is a gift.
