In 15ct Gold, this love token dates from the late Victorian era, and is a bar brooch set with two turquoise stones and a single seed pearl, with a love knot and a tiny heart hanging below, set with another small turquoise stone. There is also a 6cm safety chain.
The Lover's Knot as a symbol has a long history, and represents the eternal romantic connection between two lovers. It date back to ancient Egyptian and Celtic artwork. The brooch is 3.5cm in length, and the little heart is a shade under 1cm.
