Likely once worn proudly on a pocket watch chain, this antique 9ct Gold Maltese Cross pendant holds a secret locket compartment behind the Bloodstone fronted door, and inside is the tiniest little photograph of a young woman. The sweetest! Hand engraved with the nicest touches of Ivy leaves (the ties that bind me to thee) and romantic flourishes and marked to the reverse with a full hallmark applied in Birmingham in (we think, the mark is a little worn) 1894. Once a treasured love token we feel, and full of meaning as the Bloodstone speaks a protective aura; the Maltese Cross courage.
