In the Gothic Revivalist style advocated by Augustus Pugin which was tremendously fashionable at the time with cathedralesque designs to the shoulders, the gentle oval shape of the antique signet ring flatters the hand and accompanied by the smoothness of the timeworn 15ct Gold makes for a wonderful familiarity.
A compelling and tangible piece of artistic history, this ring is dated to 1867 with a full hallmark for 15ct Gold (a standard used solely in Britain between the years of 1854-1932) applied at the Birmingham Assay Office alongside the maker's mark for William Ryland.
We have had the russetty Carnelian re-polished by our lapidarist to restore the glossy shine in preparation for a new future, and the ring size is an 'O' or '7' as is but could be altered somewhat to suit.
Most of our rings can be adjusted to fit for free, this can be done on purchase by making a note in the order form if you know the size, or at a later date if it is a gift. You can download our handy ring sizing guide here, but don't hesitate to contact us if you need further help with this. If visiting us size adjustments can usually be done in around an hour-ish.
