Very Special Date 1875 Victorian Diamond Ring

Oh heavens above, this is just too much! The whole presence of this heirloom Victorian ring is antique perfection; and chunky hand cut Diamond deliciousness! A very special and once much treasured antique ring. In a Gothic mood with scalloped collet recalling olden mediaeval rings seen in museums; with exquisite carved ornamentation to the band each side of the centrepiece.  

This piece is likely to appeal to the original mind and heart as she is not your typical engagement ring; however we feel she was created to celebrate a love and it would warm our hearts immensely to see her passed on anew a century and a half later. 

The feature stone is a weighed and certificated 1.11ct early old Mine cut Diamond, slightly cushiony shaped in it's lusciously glittery illumination. The whole is hand made in glowing 18ct yellow gold and with a hand engraved inscription for 1875 to remember the loss of 'M.M.R died 19th April 1878'. 

The colour of the centre Diamond (as shown on the certificate) perhaps doesn't meet up with modern expectations as far as grading goes and there are inclusions which we prefer to refer to as 'Glitter' throughout the stone, but this we believe is the charm of the natural antique Diamond. 

The ring size is an 'L and a half' or '6' as is.
