A very handsome antique men's signet ring cut to a fabulously striking angular shape to display a Heliothrope panel hand carved with Masonic symbols. The intaglio is cut into a darkest green Bloodstone speckled with red Jasper spots and features the Masonic Calipers arched over an initial 'G'. The letter G is meant to remind Freemasons that all our lives and actions are performed in the presence of God, The Grand Architect.
The mount is a smoothed 9ct gold of a mid tone and was hallmarked at the Chester Assay Office 1911. There is also the makers mark for Eaton and Wrighton of Birmingham.
Please note there is some damage to the lower edge of the intaglio, commensurate with its age but not despoiling its character and interest.
The ring size is an 'R' or '8.5' but there is a a chance to resize upwards by a size or two.
