A curious symbolic antique Raj era pin which would look majestic as a tie pin. The elephant is a sacred animal and represents wisdom in Indian culture. It is the symbol of Ganesh and is considered a living god. This adorable hand carved Moss Agate Elephant hangs from a rose-cut Diamond studded bandeau below a triangular shaped hand-cut Diamond, Sapphire and Ruby diadem. Sigh! The gems are of the most bright and colourful quality and set within an 18ct yellow gold mount, every aspect hand made. This little fellow would be a most auspicious totem.
Measures 2 inches from the top of the triangle diadem.
Please note that he has had a repair to his trunk at some time, see photos for details.
